Automation

Automobile Industry needs automation of manufacturing, quality control and material handling processes. General purpose controllers for industrial processes include Programmable logic controllers, stand-alone I/O modules, and computers. One trend is increased use of Machine vision to provide automatic inspection and robot guidance functions, another is a continuing increase in the use of robots.
Energy efficiency in industrial processes has become a higher priority. SST can provide various solutions in the automobile sector such as motor controls, general purpose pumps, fans, and ebikes to reduce energy consumption and thus increase efficiency.
Application areas
Modal Analysis in Automotive Industry
Modal analysis is the field of measuring and analyzing the dynamic response of structures and or fluids during excitation. Modal analysis in car can be accomplished by vibrating the car body when it is attached to an electromagnetic shaker, or the noise pattern in a room when excited by a loudspeaker.
The response from the car body can be acquired through sensors and can be analyzed to find out the natural frequency of the structure.
Modal testing of automotive components
-
Suspension Frames.
-
Tyre's
-
Wheel Rims
-
Cab and chassis to evaluate structural properties natural frequencies.
-
Mode shapes and damping ratios.
NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness)
Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), is the study and modification of the noise and vibration characteristics of vehicles, particularly cars and trucks.
As a natural consequence of modern society's frenetic manufacturing, transportation and communication activities, sound and vibration affect environment and all of us. They affect the safety of our vehicles, the construction of our buildings, and the level of noise at home and work. Our escalating demands for safety and physical well being mirror our increased awareness of the effects of noise and vibration.
SST can provide NVH test equipment in various applications such as
